Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is also situated in the plain belt of Nepal, in the eastern region. What makes this protected area quite different from the rest of the wildlife reserves is that the river Koshi, which is one of the biggest and most prominent rivers of Nepal, passes through the reserve and in the process makes Koshi River water system.

Day 1 :

Arrive at Koshi Tappu Wildlife Camp and begin half-day Bird-Watching or Jungle Walk

Arrive at Biratnagar Airport. Meet and drive to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Camp have lunch. Bird watching around Saptakoshi river on foot. Have dinner.

Day 2 :

Early morning nature walk and full-day River Rafting Safari and Jeep Safari after breakfast

Wake-up call.
Morning nature walk in the vicinity.
Breakfast.
Rafting Boat Safari on the upper part of the Sapta Koshi River with a naturalist guide, especially to view water birds, land birds, water buffaloes, dolphins, and various water habitats. End the boat trip by the bank of the river and have a picnic lunch.
Jeep Safari inside the reserve for bird-watching and then to Koshi Barrage to visit the Pink Tower, an excellent spot for bird life, animals, and freshwater dolphins. Return to the camp in the late afternoon. (Please note: The reserve and surrounding area is wide, and guests will be taken to different areas each day.)

Day 3 :

Full-Day Bird-Watching and Wildlife Excursion via Boat and Jeep in Another Part of the Reserve

Wake-up call.
Morning nature walk to view birds in the nearby vicinity.
Breakfast.
Half-day River Raft Safari on the lower part of the Sapta Koshi River for bird-watching and wildlife viewing. Half-day Jeep Drive and Jungle Walk for more bird-watching in the jungles, wetlands, and lakes nearby. Visit the Crocodile and Wild Water Buffalo Machhan (View Tower). Stop for lunch at camp or have a packed lunch.
Visit the local village and local markets nearby in the evening.
Dinner.

Day 4 :

Early Morning Bird-Watching and Departure After Breakfast

Wake-up call.
More bird-watching in the nearby jungles in different locations.
Breakfast.
Departure to Biratnagar Airport. (Optional: If you have a late departure, you can visit the Pink Tower at Koshi Barrage, an excellent spot for bird-watching. Extra cost applies.
