Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you. You will be transferred to your hotel in a private tourist bus. After checking in, our representative will provide you with a briefing about the upcoming itinerary. Once you've had a chance to freshen up, we will commence our half-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.
Embark on a guided UNESCO World Heritage site tour in Kathmandu, exploring historical gems like Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Bouddhanath which is one of the largest stupa in the world. After breakfast, check climbing gear, meet fellow trekkers, and discuss the upcoming adventure at AAN's office. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Catch an early flight to Lukla, the starting point for Everest treks. Meet your team, and trek from Lukla to Phakding. Descend through Cheplung village with views of the sacred Mt. Khumbila. Arrive in Phakding for an overnight stay.
Time: Flight: 40 Min Hiking 3- hrs
Embark on a picturesque trail alongside the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges and passing through villages, monasteries, and chortens. Enjoy stunning views of Mt. Thamserku from Benkar Village. In Sagarmatha National Park, permits are checked at Monjo. A gradual descent leads to Jorsale, the final village before Namche Bazaar. Traverse the Hillary Suspension Bridge, and as you ascend to Namche Bazaar, be greeted by breathtaking vistas of Kwangde Peak, Kusum Peak, Kangaru Peak, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Tawache, and more. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Dedicate the day to acclimatization in Namche Bazaar, crucial for preventing Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Explore Khumjung, savor Himalayan views from Syangboche, or simply wander around Namche. Visit the Tourist Visitor Center for insights into Everest climbers and Sherpa culture, learning about the region's flora and fauna. Optional visit to a monastery housing a yeti scalp in Khumjung. Ascend to the airstrip for breathtaking views of Kongde, Thamserku, and Khumbila mountains. Return to Namche Bazaar for an overnight stay.
Embark on the scenic trek to Portse Thang you experience gradual ups and downs, located at an elevation of 3680m. You found Himalayan pheasants, musk deer, and Himalayan Tahrs along the way. Descend through alpine and rhododendron forests to reach Sansa. Follow the Gokyo trails above the Dudh Koshi River's gorge, catching views of Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Tawoche, and Mt. Khumbila from Mong La Pass. Descend to Dudh Koshi Khola, then climb uphill to overnight stay in Phortse.

Embark on a scenic trek to Dole after a hearty breakfast, offering magnificent mountain views. After a couple of hours through lush forests and green pastures, arrive in Dole. You spend a day waving mesmerizing sunset. Overnight in Dole.
Time: Hiking 3 hours
Embark on the trek from Dole, starting with a challenging descent on a slippery, snow-covered slope. The journey continues with a steady climb along a scenic ridge, offering panoramic views of Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Kantega, and Mt. Thamserku. The uphill path unfolds on an increasingly barren hillside, adorned with tundra grasses and scattered scrub junipers. Passing through the small settlement of Lhafarma and then Luza village nestled in a side valley, we ascend further. Crossing the Dudh Koshi River, we traverse sandy trails before arriving at Machhermo, the final major settlement before Gokyo. Take the opportunity to visit the Himalayan Rescue Hospital to learn about altitude sickness. Overnight in Machhermo.
Time: Hiking 5-6 hours
Ascend from Machhermo to Gokyo, leaving foothills behind. Traverse the desolate tundra with views of Dudh Koshi valley, Mt. Kangtega, Mt. Thamserku, and Mt. Cho-Oyu. Pass through Phangga, descend to the river bank, and climb the steep trail to Ngozumpa Glacier's terminal moraine. Explore Longpongo, Raboche Tsho, and Dudh Pokhari before reaching Gokyo. Along the first lake, spot footprints believed to be of a Lama. Conclude the day exploring Dudh Pokhari. Overnight in Gokyo.
Time: Hiking 5-6 Hours
Dedicate a day in Gokyo to acclimatize. Weather permitting, climb Gokyo Ri for stunning Himalayan vistas and serene Gokyo lakes. Hike to the fourth and fifth Gokyo lakes, each offering unique landscapes. The fourth lake, just 3km north of Gokyo, is surrounded by high cliffs and towering peaks. Proceed to the fifth lake for remarkable views of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu from Scoundrel’s Viewpoint. Witness the Cho Oyu base camp and Ngozumpa Glacier from the northern part of the fifth lake, the world's largest glacier. Return to Gokyo for an overnight stay.

Descend from Gokyo, tracing the Dudh Koshi River and passing the initial Gokyo lakes. Enjoy vistas of Cholatse and Taboche peaks en route. The trail descends and then climbs a hill, offering panoramic views of Thamserku, Cho Oyu, and Kangtega mountains from the chorten at the edge. Pass through Machhermo, Luza, and Lhafarma villages before arriving at Dole for an overnight stay.

Descend from Dole to Namche Bazaar on a steep trail, surrounded by rhododendrons, wildflowers, and waterfalls. Encounter mountain goats, musk deer, and pheasants along the way. From Mong La Pass, enjoy a panoramic view of Khumbila peak. The trail to Namche offers stunning vistas of Taboche, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kangtega mountains. Pass through an intersection with the trail from Sanasa, winding along a forested slope beyond Kyangjuma. As you approach Namche army camp hill, savor a final glimpse of Lhotse, the Everest tip, and Tengboche. Namche Bazaar is just a kilometer away. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Time: Hiking 4-5 Hours
Descend from Namche Bazaar on a rocky trail, crossing suspension bridges and walking on a leveled path. Experience warmer air as you continue on the same trail toward Lukla. Your mountain trek concludes upon reaching Lukla. Spend the evening reminiscing about your mountain adventure. Overnight in Lukla.

Take the earliest flight back to Kathmandu, and upon arrival, enjoy a day of rest. In the evening, participate in a farewell dinner with your trek leader and AAN staff, commemorating the end of your Nepal journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Breakfast in hotel and enjoy your whole day on your own style or take an advice from AAN’s office to make your day delight and fruitful. This day you consider as a contingency day.
Today marks the conclusion of our adventure in Nepal. AAN representative will accompany us to the airport on time. For those inclined to extend their stay in Nepal, requests for additional adventurous activities can be made to AAN. Alternatively, return home with a overabundance of cherished memories from this remarkable journey !
